What Do You Do While the Coffee is Brewing?

It’s just not that difficult to find your passion while you’re engaged in a project.  If you are applying your talents to what you are passionate about, you are engaged to your core.  It’s a beautiful thing.

It’s during the times in between projects when you’re truly tested.  This is the break in time while your coffee is brewing, so to speak, and you’re staring off into the distance for a few seconds (realistically, this may last longer than just a few seconds for some of us).  And this is when you are tested on how close you are to living your core beliefs.

In between engagements, you are idle.  Consider this as the time to advance yourself by learning, reading, connecting, or at the very least, considering and honing your core beliefs – your personal mission statement.

Everyone needs down time.  So go ahead and space out sometimes while the coffee is brewing.  But also consider that time as your opportunity to re-energize down to your core.  It prepares you for the next moment – and they come quickly – when it’s time to hit the ground running!

We're all better off for the connections we make with each other. We learn from them (for better and worse) which is why I like to write about the amazing results that come from connecting.
